Module 1

Module 1 provides a comprehensive introduction to the BodyTalk system and presents many powerful treatment techniques that address a wide variety of diseases. This course consists of theoretical aspects as well as hands on practical application of the Module 1 BodyTalk treatment techniques. The elements of the BodyTalk protocol addressed in this course are as follows:

General treatments including overall breathing patterns, left/right brain and body co-ordination, energy blockages associated with birthplace or imbalances with the local environment, energy faults within the main brain cortexes, general and localized hydration, and health problems associated with internal and external scarring; Specific balancing of the twelve major body organs, eight endocrine systems, and other non-specific body parts; Clearing the body of viruses, infections, parasites, food intolerances, environmental allergies, and accumulated toxins; Clearing past and present emotional blockages including specific phobias and fears. These treatments have been very effective in correcting a number of psychological disorders.

Total lecture time is 17 hours (minus breaks). This course is a pre-requisite for BodyTalk Module 2. It is suitable for health care professionals as well as lay people who may want to learn the BodyTalk system and use the system at a non-professional level.

Module 2

This course builds on the knowledge gained in BodyTalk 1 and expands the treatment techniques to include the entire basic BodyTalk system. Once again, both the theory and the practical aspects of the BodyTalk treatment techniques are covered. The elements of the BodyTalk protocol addressed in this course are as follows: Extrinsic Reciprocals, Lymphatic System, Nervous/Circulatory Systems, Energy Systems (Meridians, Blood Sugar, Chakras), Environmental Systems:

Treating the 36 surface energy points that often influence energy levels, mood, overall structural integrity, muscle tension, and digestive system. Surface energy imbalances can also cause pain in specific parts of the body; Cleansing the lymphatic system including all the body lymph glands and the lymph ducts; Treating energy blockages associated with the nervous and circulatory systems; Balancing the various energy systems within the body including the traditional acupuncture meridians and the Chakras; Restoring energy imbalances between the client and certain aspects of the environment; Specific balancing of brain function and improvement of the circulation of nerves and blood to, or within, specific areas of the body; Correction of hereditary and/or environmentally influenced cell disorders. Repairing damage from vaccines;

Total lecture time is 17 hours (minus breaks). BodyTalk Module 1 is a pre-requisite for this course and this course is a pre-requisite for any of the advanced BodyTalk modules; Module 1 & 2 are often combined into a complete evening plus four days intensive so that the practitioner can learn the complete basic BodyTalk System in one session and start using the modality immediately.

Module 1 & 2 Advanced Practical

This course is conducted by IBA instructors to help BodyTalk practitioner refine their skills in the practical aspects of BodyTalk. The instructor also does a review of the key elements of Modules 1 & 2 as well as expanding on some of the subjects that couldn't be addressed in the actual Modules because of time constraints. It also gives the practitioner a chance to address any problems or clarify concepts/techniques which has proven difficult or confusing. Practitioners will have an opportunity to practice the BodyTalk System and become confident with all aspects of the procedure and protocol.

Depending upon the flow of the class and the amount of questions that come up, many instructors will often use this opportunity to introduce some of the principles of the advanced BodyTalk procedure so that the student will have some familiarity before taking an advanced Module. If you are sincerely interested in developing and refining your skills in the BodyTalk System, this is a very important course to take.

Module 3

This course is the most essential of the advanced courses on BodyTalk. The consciousness work in Module 3 underlies the foundation of the philosophy behind the BodyTalk System and explains how to apply it in a practical way. The elements of the BodyTalk protocol addressed in this course are as follows:

Links: A detailed review of the linking system of BodyTalk; Definitions: A study of the theory and practical application of 'Defining the Links'; Five elements: The practical application of using the Chinese five element system within the BodyTalk protocol; Basic Consciousness: The basic approach to consciousness work within the BodyTalk protocol. This enables the BodyTalk Practitioner to address the beliefs, attitudes, and states of awareness of the client in a simple, non-invasive way under the direction the client's own innate wisdom. It integrates with every aspect of the BodyTalk protocol supplying definitions of links that will greatly enhance healing at all levels; Advanced consciousness: This includes the philosophy and understanding of such concepts as Space/time; Guilt; Separation: Individuation; the True nature: the 'essential' nature; masks; and habitual thinking patterns, as they relate to the unfolding personal and spiritual growth of the client and practitioner. Practical use of this knowledge enables the practitioner to balance the right/left brain complex and assist the client towards recognition of their natural state of inner peace and harmony.

Total lecture time is 17 hours (minus breaks). Only available to IBA members; BodyTalk Module 2 is a pre-requisite for this course.

Module 4 (7)

The Module 4 course addresses the body as an energy system. It examines the many ways of integrating the energy systems of the body with the physical functioning of the body. It is the foundation of the BodyGenics system developed by Dr. John Veltheim. The elements of the BodyTalk protocol addressed in this course are as follows:

Links and Definitions are reviewed again; Five elements: A more detailed study of the five elements; The role of the kidneys in the Yin/Yang balance of the body and how they relate to the sensuality/sexuality equation; Wei Qi (protective energy): A detailed examination of the role of Wei Qi and the practical ways to balance its functions; Breathing cycle: A study of all the aspects of the breathing cycle and its ramifications throughout the body; The Diaphragm: The role of the diaphragm in the processing and distribution of pathological emotions and thoughts. A specific technique to release the diaphragm and improve its function; Nature of Emotions: A study of the role of emotions within the bodymind complex and new techniques in harmonizing the emotions; Body Vivaxis: A specific technique to re-orientate organs, endocrines, and body parts to the whole bodymind complex; Muscle relationships: a detailed study of the emotional and psychological relationships of all the major muscles and joints of the body.

Mindscape
The principle of Mindscape is a simple but highly effective one. There is a particular state of mind, the alpha state (a state discernable experientially, as well as quantitatively using EEG) that is more conducive to creativity and intuition than others. Renowned geniuses and inventors such as Edison, Tesla, Einstein, Mozart and others have been known to use their own, often crude, ways of accessing this state, in order to originate creative ideas. Today, a Mindscape weekend workshop is the easiest way to acquire these abilities for life. There are also distinct advantages. Firstly, it provides the participant with a way of tapping into this state at will. Moreover, it creates parameters that enable one to open new horizons that he or she never thought possible. During the weekend, participants are led into a deep state of alpha - deeper than that normally accessed in daily life. While in this altered state, a 'workshop' is constructed in their mind, a specially designed structure - the Alphamind - that provides an effective framework for an astounding variety of techniques.

The benefits and uses of Mindscape are many. Among the most well-known are:

Enhancing creativity and balanced thinking; Providing an interactive link with the subconscious, and hence opening vast possibilities for self discovery and personal development ; Providing a very powerful method for visualizing and manifesting affirmations and goals; Acting as a mind-body interface, as utilized by top athletes for their mental training; Heightening the powers of intuition to the extent that they can transcend normal boundaries; Training the imagination, as well as relaxing and helping to de-stress both the mind and the body.

Needless to say, these are highly advantageous benefits to everyone, particularly in view of one over-riding fact - they work very effectively. The Mindscape workshop has opened vast new horizons for countless people around the world, from all walks of life, from students and housewives to psychologists and top executives In a time when our technological progress continues to diminish how much of our mind's resources we use, Mindscape is a superb way of unlocking the potential of our mind and using it to enhance our life and our work in so many ways.

Path of the Healer
Why do people choose to be healers and to work with people and/or animals? Why did you make that choice? How is this choice different from other choices you could have made and what are the specific challenges and issues in becoming a healer? These and other deep questions are discussed and answered on a highly personal journey through the Path of the Healer. Individuals will learn about the personal archetypes which drive their journey; the stages of the healer's journey; the unfolding role of consciousness in facilitating personal healing and ways to deal with the difficult challenges of "compassion fatigue" and other challenges specific to working with both animals and people. In a highly supportive workshop environment, participants will be gently guided through a series of explorations and discussions designed to evoke greater personal awareness, and deepen their work with both people and animals.

Participants in this course will:
  • Explore and understand the many reasons they are called to do healing work, and how this work fits with their life path.
  • Understand the stages of personal healing and how this personal healing facilitates the healing of others.
  • Gain insight into the spiritual archetypes which guide their journey and learn to work with these archetypes for their personal benefit.
  • Discuss and explore the challenges unique to working with animals and those to working with people and how to mitigate these challenges through self-care and loving detachment.
  • Work within a community environment, partnering with and supporting one another to build a community of healers.
There are no prerequisites for this course. The course is suitable for all healers and those interested in learning to become healers of either animals or people. The course will also be of interest to animal owners, trainers, healers and animal professionals interested in deepening their work with animals.
